In this post I will be sharing my recommended reading list for students and dentists early in their career based on the books I have found most useful this year. Every one of these books has covered something that I wish I had learnt years ago, whether that relates to mindset, organisation, or just motivation. Pick any of them and you will hopefully take away a valuable lesson.
I feel like I am really getting into my groove as a clinical supervisor in Exeter on Thursdays. I have got through the honeymoon induction period and now some of the clinics are getting busier with treatment. The cohort of students I regularly mentor are really doing well and it is so satisfying to see. One question that regularly seems to come up from students is "Do you think this would be a good finals case?".
If you have ever browsed a library shelf containing “personal development” books but only to walk away without any books in your hand because you just didn’t know where to start, then peak performance could be perfect for you.
