There have been a few days this last month when I have been feeling quite swamped with everything that I have had to do and subsequently felt a bit down. But now that it is the end of the month and time for my monthly reflection to allow me to assess what I have achieved this month and keep me motivated going forward. This month I have: Read/listened to
1) Black box thinking 2) Deus 3) Bounce 4) Various Podcasts: Dental Hacks, The Dentalpreneur, Gary Vaynerchuk, Savvy Dentist 5) I have started to re-read some of my old book reviews from the books I read 5-6 months ago. As a result I am now planning on dipping back into some of the books that I have found most influential this year. That list can be found here: http://www.drchrisharper.co.uk/blog/my-10-favourite-books-of-2017-part-1 This month also saw the first Empowering Young Dentists conference. That was great fun for me and helped me to realise that I definitely need to continue to pursue more opportunities like that. I have had an article accepted for a UK journal (more about that when it gets printed). I have also had a few interesting little projects like making my own custom padded suitcase to house my equipment while travelling between locations: http://www.drchrisharper.co.uk/blog/how-to-create-a-custom-padded-case Do you reflect on your day/week/month? It is a very powerful tool to ensure you are making progress but also helping you to realise that even if you do occasionally feel swamped that you are in fact getting a lot done.
