Sugar Free February is nearly finished, and I am thrilled to see part one of my "mega-article" about the impact of sugar on both oral and overall well-being being published in Aesthetic Dentistry Today.
Expanding my knowledge and then sharing that insight with others is something that I really enjoy so it is hugely rewarding to me to find others wanting to be part of that. If you want to find out more then you can order your own copy here: https://www.fmc.co.uk/shop/aesthetic-dentistry/

This year I am planning on reading more scientific papers. I have always found scientific experiments and research really interesting and used to read a lot of papers but for some reason this has slipped by the wayside in recent years. So to help keep me motivated I am planning on sharing summaries of the most interesting papers I come across this year. I am doing this as I think others may find some of these papers interesting too and I am hoping some of these reviews will spark debates on a range of topics.
How are you getting on with your New Years resolutions?
Do any of them involve trying to eat more healthy food or lose weight etc? If so then about now is normally when people start to lose willpower for these kind of resolutions. Don't worry if you fall into that category. Instead congratulate yourself on making the resolution in the first place realising that you have some improvements you want to make and try to work out why you may be struggling at the moment. A lot of people need help to keep resolutions or to really cement new healthier daily habits. Sharing my experiences of the benefits of having a TV in the surgery and various ways you can use it to show photos and videos to patients as well as making the surgery a nicer place to be.
